Best of '07: Live Shows
Day One: Best Live Shows
A list of the best concerts I had the pleasure of attending in 2007.
Honorable Mentions: MSTRKRFT, Junior Boys (with Lo-Fi-Fnk)
05. Melt-Banana w/ ??? at BackBooth.
Intense, loud, hypnotic, and insane. I have a feeling I don't see anything like this ever again... unless of course I catch Melt-Banana again.
04. Electric Six w/ The Willowz, ??? at The Social.
Ignoring the fact that The Willowz were worse than god awful, Electric Six torn down the place. They had a very solid set-list (even if it did lack Future Boys) and really had the crowd pumping.
03. Mono w/ World's End Girlfriend, Grails at The Social.
Who said concerts couldn't be beautiful, moving experiences? Not only did World's End Girlfriend do a stellar job, winning my heart that very night, but Mono played a great set. You couldn't help but just close your eyes and let the music take you somewhere besides The Social.
02. Dan Deacon w/ Video Hippos, Cracker Jackson, Yip-Yip at BackBooth.
The single most fun show of the entire year. Dan Deacon was pure joy. The only thing more amazing than his set was the fact that the BackBooth crowd was loving it so much. So much dancing and craziness! Please come back, Mr. Deacon!
01. Daft Punk w/ The Rapture, SebastiAn, Kavinsky at Keyspan Park.
Was their any doubt? Seriously, the greatest live show ever. Period.
